Terms and Conditions

On booking we require information to enable us to allocate the most appropriate Instructors to your group. We will request the ages of any children participating, and if anyone has any additional support, health or disability requirements. Our ethos is Archery is accessible to all, and we pride ourselves on supporting and assisting everyone to achieve.  Please help us by disclosing information PRIOR to arrival, so we can ensure extra support is available to you and your group.  If we do not have this information prior to the session, we may have to postpone the session as we have very strict ratios due to the type of activity we offer.

Please note that some of the activities are not suitable for pregnant women, or people recovering from recent surgery.  An insurance waiver must be completed by everyone before each session begins.  Health and safety is taken extremely seriously and we will not be able to offer sessions to people who are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs - including some medications that make you drowsy.  All our Instructors are trained to the governing body level required, are first aid trained and are members of the PVG scheme.  However, adults are still required to attend with children and are still responsible for their children's behaviour.  The Instructor has the authority to end a session immediately if the behaviour of anyone participating is seen to be dangerous to themselves, or other people.

DEPOSIT TERMS & CONDITIONS - PLEASE READ PRIOR TO BOOKING
  • Deposit terms are changing as we will shortly be moving away from the deposit based booking. However if you have paid a deposit please read on for the conditions.

Cancellation Policy

Due to changing our system of booking to make it easier for busy people, we have made changes to the cancellation terms.  We no longer request a deposit but a full payment in advance.

If you need to cancel your booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled session time, whether for an individual or the entire group, you will be eligible for a full refund of the payment you have made for that individual, or the entire group.

If you need to cancel your booking within 48hrs before the scheduled session time, whether for an individual or the entire group, you will only be eligible for a refund of 50% of the amount paid for that individual, or entire group.

Delayed/No Show

If you encounter any issues reaching us, please inform us promptly. Should you fail to arrive within 10 minutes of your scheduled start time without notifying us, it will be considered a no-show. If you opt to not turn up for your booked session and have made no contact whatsoever, we class this as a no show. Consequently, you will forfeit any payments made, and your reservation will be cancelled.

Terms and Conditions

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your booked time.

Please be honest on the waiver/consent form regarding any health or medical issues.  We support everyone who visits us but we need your honesty to be able to do that. And we need to know PRIOR to your visit to enable us to ensure we have the right staff for you to have the best experience ever!

After your experience, you will be required to pay the balance.  We have limited mobile signal in the woods due to trees, so please bring cash to pay your balance or pay in full prior to arrival. Check yourself for ticks!  We have a lot of wildlife that lives and wanders through the woods; badger, deer, red squirrel, pine marten, fox and the occasional dog/cat/horse/haggis.

We are a small family business so we truly appreciate you leaving a quick review on any of the platforms e.g. Trip Advisor, Google, Facebook/Meta. We would also love to see any pics you have taken. Any issues at all then please do get in touch.  We work hard to try to make your visit a truly wonderful memory, so please contact Liz (General Manager) at Bowhunterarchery@outlook.com

We welcome family dogs, they must be kept on a lead at all times and their poop removed from our woodland.

PRIVACY POLICY and The Safety of Your Information.

Every visitor to Bowhunter Archery is required to sign a disclaimer/consent/waiver form. The information you provide is your name, address, telephone number, email address and date of birth for under 16's. We also request details regarding pre-existing medical conditions that could be made worse by the sport of archery, or that could cause an injury to yourself or others. This information is not only for the purpose of insurance but also to ensure we support you in the best possible way - archery is a sport that can be enjoyed by many regardless of abilities or disabilities. We are 100% outdoors, in the middle of a wood, so it is good for us to know about some conditions just in case there is an emergency situation.  Your information is never used to spam you, and we will always ask your permission to use photographs.

At present, the disclaimer/consent forms are handwritten by you. They are printed on recycled, biodegradable paper, and kept in a locked filing cabinet, in a secure unit. These details are not transferred to technology, they do not get scanned, copied or photographed. The only third party that would have access to these details would be in a legal capacity/insurance purposes. We keep the paper copies for 3 years - but you are very welcome to get in touch at any time if you want to change any of the details we have about you. After 3 years they are destroyed.
