Terms and Conditions

On booking we require information to enable us to allocate the most appropriate Instructors to your group. We will request the ages of any children participating, and if anyone has any additional support requirements. Our ethos is Archery is accessible to all, and we pride ourselves on supporting and assisting everyone to achieve.  Please help us by disclosing information PRIOR to arrival, so we can ensure extra support is available to you and your group.

Please note that some of the activities are not suitable for pregnant women, or people recovering from recent surgery.  An insurance waiver must be completed by everyone before each session begins.  Health and safety is taken extremely seriously and we will not be able to offer sessions to people who are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs - including some medications that make you drowsy.  All our Instructors are trained to the governing body level required, are first aid trained and are members of the PVG scheme.  However, adults are still required to attend with children and are still responsible for their children's behaviour.  The Instructor has the authority to end a session immediately if the behaviour of anyone participating is seen to be dangerous to themselves, or other people.

DEPOSIT TERMS & CONDITIONS - PLEASE READ PRIOR TO BOOKING

  • A deposit of £6 per person is payable in advance and expected within 48 hours of booking to confirm. We will not hold your booking any longer than 48 hours without a deposit and we will not chase you for a deposit payment.  The deposit can be paid online via Bank Transfer: Bank of Scotland Business Account, Bowhunter Archery, Sort Code 80-22-60, A/C No. 12765867. Please put your surname (the one used for booking) as the reference so we can find your payment quickly and email you confirmation. We can also send you a link to pay using a credit/debit card online.

  • We are aware that numbers can change prior to the event. We request that we are informed as soon as possible to ensure our staff ratio is maintained for your health and safety. Extra participants: You will not be charged any further deposit; instead, extra participants will be charged in full, per person, on the day.

  • Your deposit is fully refundable up to 48 hours in advance of the time of booked session.

  • If an individual or entire group is cancelled within 48 hours before booked session, then your deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. However, an alternative date will be offered.

  • Any Balance Payment paid in advance apart from the deposit, is fully refundable at all times.

  • Please contact us if you are experiencing difficulties getting to us so we are aware. Failure to arrive by 10 minutes after the booked time, with no contact to us, will be classed as a no show and you will lose your deposit and your booking will be cancelled.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your booked time.  This enables time to fill in the Disclaimer/consent/waiver form.  Please be honest and highlight to the Instructor any medical issues so they can support you fully during your visit.

After your experience, you will be required to pay the balance.  We have limited mobile signal in the woods due to trees, so please bring cash to pay your balance or pay in full prior to arrival. Check yourself for ticks!  We have a lot of wildlife that lives and wanders through the woods; badger, deer, red squirrel, pine marten, fox and the occasional dog/cat/horse/haggis.

We are a small family business so we truly appreciate you leaving a quick review on any of the platforms e.g. Trip Advisor, Google, Facebook/Meta. We would also love to see any pics you have taken. Any issues at all then please do get in touch.  We work hard to try to make your visit a truly wonderful memory, so please contact Liz (General Manager) at Bowhunterarchery@outlook.com

We welcome family dogs, they must be kept on a lead at all times and their poop removed from our woodland.

PRIVACY POLICY and The Safety of Your Information.

Every visitor to Bowhunter Archery is required to sign a disclaimer/consent/waiver form. The information you provide is your name, address, telephone number, email address and date of birth for under 16's. We also request details regarding pre-existing medical conditions that could be made worse by the sport of archery, or that could cause an injury to yourself or others. This information is not only for the purpose of insurance but also to ensure we support you in the best possible way - archery is a sport that can be enjoyed by many regardless of abilities or disabilities. We are 100% outdoors, in the middle of a wood, so it is good for us to know about some conditions just in case there is an emergency situation.  Your information is never used to spam you, and we will always ask your permission to use photographs.

At present, the disclaimer/consent forms are handwritten by you. They are printed on recycled, biodegradable paper, and kept in a locked filing cabinet, in a secure unit. These details are not transferred to technology, they do not get scanned, copied or photographed. The only third party that would have access to these details would be in a legal capacity/insurance purposes. We keep the paper copies for 3 years - but you are very welcome to get in touch at any time if you want to change any of the details we have about you. After 3 years they are destroyed.
